Something to note: I’ve noticed that this was marked as an “Often Returned” item on Amazon. From what I found out, even though the accuracy is incredible compared to others, it’s battery life was something troubling for a device used as an emergency device. A frequent need to recharge puts this lower on the list for me as it directly impacts the use of the product.
Another sting is that the companies support is rather unresponsive.

Good to know:
No contract, AND they offer a 30-day trial period so you can test it risk-free. The company has been around for years with some users ranging as far as 20 years back. Of course with updated devices, there are some loyal followings to the brand.

3. Bay Alarm Medical — Best Value
What it is:
Bay Alarm Medical has one of the widest selections out there — cellular and landline home systems, a smartwatch, two mobile pendants, and various accessories. The mobile devices were less sensitive to slow falls in comparison to their home system, but GPS accuracy was solid. Sadly the home system seems to slowly be going out of production as it requires a landline, which is becoming more rare by the year.
What it costs:
Plans start at $20 to $40 per month. Upfront fees range from $0 to $170 depending on the device. Fall detection costs an extra $10 per month.
Good to know:
No contract, and they include a 30-day trial period. Keep in mind that the Home Cellular has to have a landline phone! For most, having the mobile version is the most practical for mobility now-a-days. For the sake of longevity, I’d recommmend the mobile version.

They offer cellular and landline home systems, a smartwatch, and two mobile pendants — but keep things straightforward, with no fancy extras except for a caregiver app. In testing, the in-home system performed better than the mobile versions for fall detection and response times.
