The Point of Effort.
Why do we put ourselves through this?
If you’re a reader here, congratulations....likely the only one. The whole point of this website was a combination of thoughts. “Is there enough information about one single topic that there could be a real impact, if shared?”
The intention is a community that cares for its elders. That is made possible with proper education and resources to do so.
I have one grandparent left that I visit and care for–my mother’s father. Through this remaining grandparent, I find that I dump my greatest effort in. In a way, I feel a sense of guilt that I could not offer the my late grandparents the same. It’s all I can do so I sleep alright, but oddly feels like the phrase: “If only I bought a house in 2007 instead of buying candy with my 9 year old allowance, I would be rich!” So why the guilt?
We are all constantly hoping to be fed with a specific quote, a specific spark or an unexpected idea that makes that “big bang” impact on our future actions. The thing that changes us to make our lives, and others lives better. So where is it? I (again, we), have been patiently waiting. I brush my teeth, I stick to good morals, I eat my greens everyday I remember and encourage other’s to do the same. But I want more for others. It could be nurtured instincts of an altruistic first born, but taking care of others matters to me.
Komak Resources is just a place for the team and I to provide something to a community that constantly looks for the next way to make another life live better. It’s small here for now, but we want to keep making the community bigger. We need a village to share knowledge, be guided by experiences and do so efficiently in the small windows of time that we all desperately create in this forgetful world.
This article will start by elaborating on products that have been vetted by someone who has at least taken their time to find something helpful for you, the reader. As you can imagine, the cost and time will likely not encompass every version of the products out there, but we want to make sure that you can narrow down what suits your household best. This is a blip in the world of caring for a person, but this is the easiest to get started on without learned experience from a community like you.
This all comes back to encouraging others as you can imagine. We want to get clear the friction in your lives that make getting to the action of help, easier! I would, however, remind you of one thing….ironically one thing.
We encourage you to recognize that it’s not the Point of effort, but rather The Point of effort that motivates movement and change for you and others. The unspoken, highly sought after inspiration is not one moment, but the ideology that drove you to get to this point in this long lost article on this long lost website about helping elders. Their help is you, and if you forget The Point, so will your motivation.
Let’s build this community together and please send in anything you would like to see that makes an impact from your perspective.
We plan to create a subscription, so that as articles come out, you’re simply aware! Otherwise they are so infrequent that you’d be checking this website like a second job.
Thank you, as always, for reading.
